Sarah Thorpe - sarah@bbtsa.co.uk

Sarah says... "Hi my name is Sarah Thorpe andI live in Dumfries Scotland. I have 2 children Courtney, 13, and Kyle, 9.
I have been involved in twirling for the last 28 years. I started out as an athlete competing for fun then progressed onto national and international competitions. I was part of the Scotland squad from 1994-1998 and have many great memories from these yrs. I became a BBTSA coach in 1998, then later a judge, grade examiner and most recently a technical board member. I love my involvement in twirling at every level. I currently coach Dumfries Baton Twirlers and am also a dedicated member of the Region committee for Region 16. Over the years I have met and worked with some wonderful people and made several friends. I am so excited to be part of worlds 2014 and help with organisation of the opening and closing ceremonies.

I have been judging internationally for about 10 years and have been fortunate to travel to lots of countries. I currently assist my mother June Cobbett who is the Grade Administrator in providing the necessary information for club, region and national grade seminars. I have taught at camp / twirlfest every year bar two since they began and really enjoy seeing the development in our athletes and what they have learned at the end of every week. I am the secretary for the Technical Committee, a role which is managed around my Police career.

Sarah Cullum - sarahcullum@bbtsa.co.uk

Sarah says... "I have set up and trained the Angel Baton Twirlers for about 15 years, along with my sister Claire. Before this I have been individual National Champion 4 times and been selected for the England Squad twice, travelling to Spain and Germany. I have also twirled and choreographed routines for Disneyworld in America. Since being a coach, many of our girls have won National Champion titles (team and individuals) and several have themselves been in the England Squad - the latest being in Florida at International Cup 2011 where I competed in the team and came away with a bronze medal!"

Claire Cullum - clairecullum@bbtsa.co.uk

Claire says... "I have been individual National Champion several times since I began twirling when I was only 3 years old. We have also won many National team titles and I represented my country in Spain and German as part of the England Squad. We then started our own troupe and have many members that we've coached to become Area and National Champions. Some have also gone on to be selected as part of the England Squad travelling to Ireland and USA. In 2011, I competed in the team too and we came away with bronze medals!"
